Product description

The UMG 508 is the predecessor of the Janitza UMG 509-PRO.

Voltage sags, transients, and harmonics are not just disturbances; in modern electrical installations, they can cause serious problems. These disruptions can lead to unforeseen outages and costly repairs. The Janitza UMG 509-PRO Power Analyser goes beyond just identifying these issues; it also proactively alerts users through notifications.

The UMG 509-PRO is more than a standard power analyser. It is a multifunctional device that includes features such as a power quality analyser, kWh-meter, IP gateway, datalogger, and a web server, all in one robust housing.

Thanks to the integrated web interface of the UMG 509-PRO, users have real-time insight into the power quality of their systems. This interface is user-friendly and can be easily accessed from various devices, from desktops to smartphones. Automatic reports, tailored to current standards, ensure a quick identification and resolution of energy problems.

Technically, the UMG 509-PRO offers Fourier analyses up to the 63rd order and records more than 1500 variables every 200 milliseconds. Continuous sampling of all voltage and current channels at 20kHz ensures accurate measurements.

With support for protocols such as RS485 (Modbus RTU) and Ethernet, the UMG 509-PRO can be seamlessly integrated into existing systems.

Main features of the UMG 509-PRO Power Analyser:
  • Effective detection of consumption, disturbances, and power quality
  • Identifies voltage sags, transients, and harmonics up to the 63rd order
  • Notifications via the web interface
  • Multifunctional: Power Quality analyser, kWh-meter, IP gateway, datalogger, and web server all in one
  • Accessible integrated web interface via various devices
  • Automatic Power Quality reporting according to current standards
  • Continuous monitoring of ground fault currents, eliminating the need for periodic insulation tests
  • Recording of short interruptions, transients, and peaks
  • Extensive technical capabilities, including Fourier analysis and a high sampling rate
  • Smooth integration thanks to various communication protocols
