The compact Micron detection light curtain from ReeR Safety is specifically designed for industrial automation applications for detecting the presence or absence of objects, counting products, determining the position of a specific object, and detecting and determining shapes and dimensions. The Micron detection light curtain sends relevant information to the PC or PLC based on the number and position of the interrupted beams.
There are four variants: Micron AC/AV, Micron B, Micron C, and detection light curtains with IO-Link. Micron AC/AV detection screens are equipped with two analogue outputs for object measurements and limit value detection, Micron B models have an RS 485 serial interface for detailed beam information, and Micron C models have two antivalent solid-state outputs for simple on/off information.
The Micron detection light curtain is also available with IO-Link, to communicate real-time data quickly and efficiently to a PLC. It is ideal for object measurement and limit value detection. Moreover, it has an IP65 to IP67 protection grade, making it very robust and reliable.
Heated and waterproof housings ensure that the detection light curtains can be used even in extreme conditions. Thanks to the IP69K housing, the light curtain is resistant to continuous exposure to cleaning agents and high-pressure water. A heating element prevents condensation in the waterproof housing, allowing the light curtains to be used outdoors. These detection light curtains are ECOLAB certified.
