The ReeR Mosaic series is a modular and flexible safety PLC system designed for industrial automation applications. The system offers a wide range of safety functions, easy configuration with the free Mosaic software, and support for various communication protocols. The Mosaic series complies with international safety standards such as
ISO 13849-1 and IEC 62061, ensuring reliability and safety in safety-critical situations.
Expansion Modules
The ReeR Mosaic series offers various modular expansion modules to customise and extend the functionality of the system. These modules are designed to be easily added to the base controller, allowing users to create a tailor-made safety system for specific applications and requirements.
The module type numbers make it easier to distinguish between them:
- Input modules = MI**:
These modules increase the number of safety inputs for connecting additional safety components such as emergency stop buttons, light curtains, and safety mats.
- Output modules = MO**:
These modules provide additional safety outputs that can be used to control actuators, magnetic contacts, and other safety-relevant components.
- Input/output modules = MI*O*:
These combined modules provide both additional safety inputs and outputs, enabling greater system flexibility and connectivity.
- Main module with integrated fieldbus protocols = M1S(C) COM (RV):
These modules feature integrated fieldbus interface protocols (Modbus TCP, Ethernet/IP, PROFINET, and EtherCAT), eliminating the need to purchase separate communication modules.
- Communication modules = MB**:
These modules add communication functionality to the Mosaic system. Separate modules are available for each communication protocol (Modbus TCP, Modbus RTU, Ethernet/IP, PROFIBUS, DeviceNet, EtherCAT, CANopen, USB, CC-Link, and PROFINET), enabling easy integration of the Mosaic safety PLC system with other industrial automation and control systems.
- 4-in-1 communication modules = MBECOM/MBECOMC:
These modules add four communication protocols to the Mosaic system (Modbus TCP, Ethernet/IP, PROFINET, and EtherCAT), allowing seamless integration of the Mosaic safety PLC system with other industrial automation and control systems.
- Screw or spring-clamp terminals = **C:
Almost all modules are available in a version with screw terminals or a version with spring-clamp terminals. The versions with spring-clamp terminals are easily recognisable by the added "C" in the type number.
- ATEX-certified = **RV:
These modules are ATEX-certified and suitable for hazardous environments. For safety reasons, these modules feature 8 inputs with a maximum of 4mA.
