The Ex STM 515 series from steute is a robust series of safety interlocks that meet the highest safety standards in ATEX environments. These interlocks are suitable for use in explosive zones 1 and 21 and come with a robust, corrosion- and shock-resistant aluminium housing with an IP66 / IP67 protection rating. Depending on the type, the STM 515 interlocks are available with or without auxiliary unlocking.
The STM 515 series interlocks are equipped with two safety contacts (with status contacts) for integration into a safety circuit. This means that the Ex STM 515 series not only provides secure locking but also allows for monitoring the status of, for example, a door or valve, thanks to the addition of the status contacts. For maximum installation flexibility, the actuator head can be rotated 4x 90°. With a power consumption of only 2.5 W, the Ex 515 series offers secure locking with low energy consumption.
