The Micron IOL series of detection light curtains from ReeR is the right choice for measuring, detecting, shape recognition or counting. This series is characterized by the IO-Link communication protocol for transferring all measurement and detection data, as well as reading various statuses. The advantage of IO-Link is that it does not impose additional requirements on the wiring, which, among other things, leads to lower (installation) costs.
The IOL series of light curtains come in various versions. They are available in different lengths (heights) to suit every application. The IOL series has a detection height ranging from 15cm to a maximum of 3 meters. Depending on the height, they are available with different resolutions ('beam spacing' - the distance between the LEDs). In addition to height, they are also available with different switching distances. The IOL series of light curtains are divided into a maximum switching distance of 2.5, 10, or 18 meters. All detection screens have an IP sealing of IP65 and IP67.
The light curtains are equipped with 2 digital outputs (M12, 5-pin) and a serial IO-Link output. This allows them to be easily programmed and configured using the configuration software. For quick installation and configuration, an IODD file (IO Device Description) is available for each light curtain.
