Product description

The CT-SC series low power (333mV) current transformers from Janitza are a series of split-core current transformers specifically designed for the UMG 96-PQ-L-LP power analyser and the 800-CT8-LP expansion module (associated with the UMG 801 power analyser). The current transformers are available with a primary current of 20 to 600 A and have a cable length of 5 meters. The entire series has a class 0.5 accuracy.

Conductor Diameter
For a current transformer, it is obviously important that it fits around the conductor to be measured. In the CT-SC series of current transformers, the following diameters are available for conductors:
  • CT-SC-006-500-20: 6,1 mm
  • CT-SC-010-500-50/75: 9,5 mm
  • CT-SC-012-500-75: 12 mm
  • CT-SC-016-500-100: 16 mm
  • CT-SC-024-500-100/200/250: 23,3 mm
  • CT-SC-036-500-400/600: 35,3 mm

Split-Core

The CT-SC series current transformers are split-core transformers that can be easily placed around the conductor to be measured without the need to de-energise the installation. This simplifies the installation and causes less inconvenience. Additionally, this also makes them suitable for retrofitting.

Key Features of the CT-SC Series Low Power Current Transformers:

  • Suitable for connection to the UMG 96-PQ-L-LP and 800-CT8-LP
  • Output voltage: 333mV
  • Available with a primary current of 20 to 600 A
  • Equipped with a 5 m cable (24 AWG)
  • Split-core, can be easily clipped around the conductor to be measured
  • Compliant with ANSI C57.13 and IEC 61869-2 standards

TypeSplit-core current transformer
Primary current250 A
Secondary current333mV
Transformation ratio

The transformation ratio indicates how the current from the primary circuit is proportionally reduced in the secondary circuit. This allows for the measurement of high currents with more manageable, lower current values in the secondary circuit, contributing to both the accuracy of the measurements and the safety of the measuring system.

Class

The class of a current transformer indicates the accuracy of the output current. There are different classes, with class 0.1 offering the highest accuracy and class 5 the lowest.
