The 800-CT8-A expansion module for the
UMG 800 series offers the possibility to expand a main module from the UMG 800 series with 2x 4 additional current measurement channels for connecting 8 extra current transformers. The use of multiple such modules is possible to further expand the measurement installation with even more current measurement channels. The module uses the JanBus interface for communication with the main module.
The module can be easily connected to the main module via a click system with integrated JanBus interface connections. Once the module is clicked onto the DIN rail, it can be slid against the main module or another module with an integrated JanBus connection. Due to these integrated connections, no cables are needed for the interconnection of the modules. After connection, the module is automatically recognized by the main module and the status can then be read via the 3 LEDs on the front. The configuration can be easily done on the main module or via software such as GridVis.
The current measurement module is 4 TE wide, suitable for current transformers of 1A or 5A, and is not suitable for direct current measurements.
