The 800-DI14 expands the number of digital inputs of a main module from the UMG 800 series with
14 additional digital inputs. This allows information from other devices with a digital output to be easily sent to the main module. The module is equipped with an integrated JanBus interface connection, making it simple to slide against the main module or other expansion modules with an integrated JanBus connection. The module is automatically recognized and indicates its status through LEDs. The configuration of the module can be done on the main module being used. Naturally, this is also possible via software such as GridVis.
The inputs of the 800-DI14 are recognized by the base device when the voltage is at least 18Vdc and at most 28 Vdc (usually at 4 mA) or when a current of at least 0.5 mA and at most 6 mA flows. No input signal is recognized for voltages from 0 to 5 V and currents of less than 0.5 MA.
